Boulder County Only
I come to you
100% personalized
This is for you if you’re curious about yoga, but…
-
Group classes aren’t for everyone, despite what some marketing may make you think! It’s completely normal and reasonable to want to move at your own pace, in your own space—especially when learning something that’s new to you and to your body.
-
When most of us think of “yoga” we have one image in mind: someone thin, fit, young, and flexible. The truth is that yoga is for everybody and every body. Private yoga can help you cancel out the noise around what yoga is “supposed” to look like, and show you what it actually feels like.
-
Have you ever been to a “beginner-friendly” or “level 1” yoga class that did not feel beginner-friendly at all? Have you ever walked in to a studio thinking, “I can do this!”—then spent the rest of class trying to keep up? With private yoga, that scenario never happens. I come to your level and, in time, we get to where you want to go.
-
We are all human. That means when we’re doing something challenging—which yoga can be, both mentally and physically—our body has a reaction to it. And so does every else’s in the room! With private yoga, you don’t have 20 people around you who are sweating, grunting, showing off, or even ignoring the teacher’s cues and doing their own private practice in a public setting (it happens more than you’d think!).
It’s just you, your mat, and your instructor (that’s me!). Whatever music you want to listen to. Whatever pace you want to go at.
-
We’re in an area that is saturated with health and wellness “experts,” countless yoga studios, and a hundred different styles of yoga all claiming to be the right one for you.
I believe that you are the expert on your body—even if you don’t feel that way yet. Private yoga will help you trust your body and believe in your mental and physical capabilities, with no distractions or judgment.
If any of that lands, private yoga is a completely different experience.
Group yoga can feel intimidating. Private yoga feels safe.
A lot of people think they “should” be able to do yoga in a studio. But the truth is: a group class isn’t designed for your specific body, history, injuries, comfort level, or learning style.
Private yoga gives you something else entirely: a calm, nonjudgmental space to meet your body where it’s at—today.
what I do differently
My name is Allie Madden, and I’m a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. I received my training from the Little Yoga Studio (a Boulder original for over 11 years!).
For private yoga sessions, I come to your home and meet you exactly where you are. My Yoga Journey
I’ve been practicing yoga for more than 17 years. Over time, what began as movement became something much deeper—a way of life rooted in presence, self-awareness, and connection.
My practice is primarily rooted in vinyasa, where breath and movement flow together. But yoga, for me, has always gone beyond the mat. The philosophy—the other seven limbs of yoga beyond asana—guides my approach to teaching and living. I see yoga as both a personal practice and a collective one: a way of aligning body, mind, and spirit while cultivating compassion and clarity in daily life.
My journey has taken me across the world and through many seasons of study. In 2015, I spent a month immersed at The Mindfulness Project in northern Thailand, practicing yoga, meditation, and seva (selfless service). I’ve participated in multiple mindfulness retreats since, each deepening my understanding of presence and resilience. I also completed a Trauma-Informed Yoga Training (2018), a year-long Embodied Leadership Training (2023–2024), a Women’s Guidance Facilitator Training (2023), and an Embodied Coaching Certification (2025). Most recently, I earned my 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification at The Little Yoga Studio in Boulder, Colorado (2025).
All of these experiences have shaped how I share yoga today: as a holistic practice that integrates movement, mindfulness, and philosophy. In my classes and offerings, I invite students to explore not just strength and balance, but presence, curiosity, and connection—to themselves, to others, and to the world around them.

COMING SOON!
I teach from the belief that yoga is not just movement—it’s a pathway to clarity, resilience, and deeper connection with ourselves and others.
With training in vinyasa, trauma-informed yoga, embodiment coaching, women’s guidance facilitation, and embodied leadership, I bring a holistic approach that honors both the physical and philosophical roots of yoga. My classes and sessions are grounded in presence, guided by compassion, and shaped by the understanding that yoga looks different for every person, every day.
Whether in a group class, private session, or retreat, my goal is simple: to create a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, tune in, and uncover the strength, balance, and wisdom that already lives within you.
